Continuing on from our first session, I met up with this lovely family again in downtown Leesburg for some 'little girl in the city' shots. How cute is she in her moms heels?? I just love being able to stretch creatively and do something a little different, and judging from all the smiles I got, I'd say she does too.

It's not often I get a chance to work with older kids, and I was really excited about it. Not to mention - these kids are gorgeous! Mom wanted natural and spontaneous, and while that sounds like it should be easy, it can actually be much harder than putting everyone in just the right pose and snapping a picture. We went out to Red Rocks and just went for a walk in the woods - these are what happened! (and I threw in the occasional "stand here and smile" for good measure!)

Are spring resolutions a thing? Mine is going to be updating here in a timely manner, and a lot more often.

A couple of weeks ago (I know!) I had the awesome opportunity to meet with 5 more families from the 2013 Loudoun Moms group for a fun morning of mini sessions. I'm not sure if it's something in the water, but we sure do have the cutest families around here.

Baby E 6 month - Part One | Leesburg VA Family Photographer

It was a beautiful evening for this incredibly cute family. We met at Red Rock Overlook Park in Leesburg; the weather was warm, the sun setting exactly how I imagined it would. We took advantage of the beautiful yellow stone buildings and the green backdrops.

L's Headshots & Maternity | Sterling VA Photographer

This was my first ever official maternity shoot - I was so excited! I met with this super cute couple at Claude Moore Park in Sterling and had a blast. The light ended up being fabulous even though the sun was stressing me out a bit - hidden by fluffy clouds one minute, then full sun, and hazy overcast the next! At least it was warm, so I can't really complain - it felt so good to be outside and not rush. Glowing L is heading up her own eco-friendly cleaning service (will share more information when it's available!) so we also took a few headshots for her to use. And then it was all about Baby Girl!
