Every woman is affected by pregnancy differently. Some are more emotional than before, some are hungry all the time... for me, I nest. With my daughter I insisted we paint the entire interior of the house. This time, I am insisting we organize. A place for everything and everything in its place. Even my daughter is doing her part by ensuring shoes are lined up neatly by the front door - without being asked.

project 52 of 2013 | DOF
This week's challenge was "depth of field." I was wanting to do something a little artsy but sometimes fate just hands you the perfect opportunity - pun intended.

Two-Weeks New Mr. T | Northern Virginia Photographer
Last weekend I was invited to take pictures of the beautiful, two-weeks-new Mr. T - you might remember him from my Project 52 last Sunday. Mom and Dad asked that their faces not appear online, so I'm only sharing a few of their little man. See the rest of his debut on Facebook to keep my blog loading at an appropriate speed ;)

project 52 of 2013 | new
This year, I'm very excited to be participating in a "52 of 2013" photo blog hop! Each week we will be assigned a different theme, and we'll post our image on Sunday at Noon. Except for me...I'll post mine some time around 4:30 when I remember.

Oh, hello.
You know that feeling when you keep meaning to do something, but you push it off until tomorrow - and next thing you know "tomorrow" is two months later?
That's this blog. Sorry about that.

Hope You're Hungry
Something I have been wanting to do is work with food bloggers to photograph their delicious creations...I might have mentioned, my husband cooks. Like, really cooks. And I eat (and take pictures.) It's sort of a perfect arrangement.
My very first project was from Debra over at The Saffron Girl. As she put it, "I'm one of those food blogs with unflattering photos ;)" So, husband and I decided to make the stuffed peppers and the chicken with turmeric/garlic/rosemary which we served with a harvest salad (mixed greens, gorgonzola cheese, dried apricots and cranberries, walnuts, apple slices).

Tea With Friends
A couple of weeks ago (that's how far behind on editing I am) my daughter was invited to attend a formal tea party with two of her friends. It was a gorgeous day at Morven Park, and the girls all wore beautiful dresses in shades of purple and pearl necklaces and dined on fresh-baked cookies. It was nothing short of a fantasy!
