Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

Today was my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season. Not that it's really fall weather here in Northern Virginia, but a girl can pretend. And not that I've ever had a Pumpkin Spice Latte before. How could no one have told me about how magical they are? Or do I just live under a rock?

While I generally take my Starbucks cup for granted, I could not ignore how special today was for my daughter. Today, Isabella enjoyed her very first Starbucks hot chocolate. My favorite! I find them particularly rich and decadent and couldn't wait to share it with her.

Do you want to see what true love looks like?

Look at that face! That, my friends, is love. This was one of those parenting moments where time stood still as I watched my two year old have her very first taste of something that will soon be all too common. When I look back on this someday, this is the picture I want to remember... though she did eventually get it all over her face, in her hair, soaked through her clothes, and in one of her shoes.

I am looking forward to a lot more mommy/daughter dates at Starbucks as we slowly slip into Fall.

  2. No, you're correct. Pumpkin spice lattes are the best thing ever. Even more so because you can only get them during the fall. I'd drink them all day.
