project 52 of 2013 | cold

This week's challenge is "cold." I was expecting snow here on Thursday, but it came and went without even a flake (and it's in the 50s this weekend). So my next thought was to try and freeze fruit in an ice cube...but did you know the ice turns cloudy if it's not distilled water?? Science experiment fail. So then in a final act of desperation, I spritzed a flower with water and put it in the ice tray, hoping to get little crystals on the petals, but it just looked wet. Please see exhibit A.

So my faithful assistant, Husband, decided to make a frozen tropical martini [for me to photograph]. This is about as cold and refreshing as it gets, I think!

You're probably here from Michele's blog. Now hop over to Nancy's blog and see her "cold" image :)
