Better late than never! We were visiting family on Long Island for the last week which provided many opportunities for our "water" challenge.

Our challenge this week was "jumping/in the air" and I struggled to come up with something interesting. I haven't done much with silhouettes and sunsets so I thought that would be worth trying. Luckily my sister-in-law Christina moved to Virginia a couple of weeks ago - so happy I have her here to take goofy pictures with!

I was so excited to photograph a Literacy Party held by our local Macaroni Kid and KinderCare, held at Martial Arts World of Ashburn (Virginia). I haven't done much - ok, any - real event photography so I was thrilled at the chance. I had both of my own girls in tow and a great time was had by all.

I was so excited to be able to offer a friend a newborn session for her 12-days-new son as a belated shower gift. I loved how we were able to start with a few posed shots and then enjoy his beautiful eyes. Check out how alert he is!

Let me start off by saying that I have great admiration for street photography and I always find myself in awe of the candidness in the images - simply put, I love how real it is. Humans of New York is one of my favorites, even though they're not candids, it's every day people sharing just a little piece of themselves with the world.

I seriously can NOT believe that the fabulous Mila is turning TWO. Just this time last year I was photographing her epic first birthday cake smash! And not long before that, I photographed her modeling pettiskirts for an Etsy shop at just six or seven months old. Where does the time go??
