Though I currently live in Northern Virginia, both my husband and I are from Long Island, NY. My family lives in a small town on the south shore called Patchogue, and when we go home to visit, this is where we stay.
We were supposed to head home last Friday morning because our friends were getting married on Saturday. We got the car all packed, got our daughter in her car seat, turned the key...and the car wouldn't start. Our three year old car. I was more than annoyed. But you can't tell me nothing happens for a reason because while we were waiting for the car to jump, my new Canon 100mm Macro arrived FIVE days ahead of schedule (YAY!)
I have been wanting to get into macro photography for, like, ever. This blog post is dedicated to an experiment in Macro. All of these images were taken at my parent's home this past weekend. (Warning: there's a lot of them. And any tips or advice would be much appreciated!)
And of course, you can't buy a macro lens without trying to capture water droplets...
Do your parents live in, like, a jungle? :)
